| Refining the leg's stitch to the body in 3D Studio MAX ( 3ds max ) |
If there are surplus vertices in either of the spline cage sections, near the stitching joints, that leads to holes in the surface in 3D Studio MAX ( 3ds max ). Refine extra vertices along the leg and create line through them. This is shown in the figure. It may not be required, if the joint of both the spline cages has the same no: of vertices.

The figure shows the creation of an extra line segment running from the hip down the leg, till the knee. You will need to refine a few vertices along the line's path so that you can create the line to connect those vertices in 3D Studio MAX ( 3ds max ).
This extra line segment will give more vertices so that you can control the thigh region in a better way in 3D Studio MAX ( 3ds max ).
